1. About us

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and your purchase of goods from Pocket Rice (ABN 75 260 536 872) ("we", "us" or "our"). By placing an order you agree to these terms.

2. Product information

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs and specifications on our website are accurate. However, as many products are handmade or sourced from small makers, minor variations in colour, size, texture or finish are natural and not a defect.

Prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are correct at the time of publication. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors prior to order acceptance.

3. Orders and contract formation

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products at the listed price. No contract exists between you and us until we accept your order.

Your order is accepted when we confirm payment has been received and send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order at our discretion, for example if the product is out of stock, if there is a pricing error, or if we suspect fraudulent activity. In such cases, any payment already taken will be refunded in full.

4. Payment

Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. We do not store your card details. Payment must be received in full before an order is dispatched.

Prices on our website are in AUD. At the date of these terms, we are not registered for GST. If we become registered in future, prices shown will be inclusive of GST and we will issue tax invoices on request.

5. Shipping and delivery

Orders are dispatched within 2 business days of order acceptance. We ship across Australia via Australia Post. Delivery timeframes vary depending on your location; once dispatched, you will receive a tracking link by email. For full details, see our Shipping Policy.

Risk of loss passes to you on delivery. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us immediately.

6. Returns, refunds and consumer guarantees

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including images, text, product descriptions, logos and design — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use any content without our prior written consent.

8. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any product or order is limited to, at our option, re-supplying the goods, paying the cost of having the goods re-supplied, or refunding the price paid.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits or business interruption, except where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

9. Your account

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.

10. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The courts of New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version applies from the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through our website or, where appropriate, by email.
