Bangalow Markets June 2026: Food, Stalls and Pocket Rice
Pocket Rice hosted a stall at the June 2026 Bangalow Markets. Our recap highlights local food stalls, coffee, handmade goods, plants and market highlights from the Northern Rivers.

The Bangalow Markets are one of our favourite Sunday market mornings in the Byron Bay hinterland: leafy, busy, local and full of small stalls worth slowing down for.
This post is a photo-led recap from the June 2026 Bangalow Markets, starting with our Pocket Rice stall before moving through food, drinks, makers, plants and a few scenes from walking around the area.
Pocket Rice at the Bangalow Markets#
We had a lovely morning bringing Pocket Rice to Bangalow, with a few new menu updates making their way onto the table and plenty of familiar conversations around onigiri and our nori collected from our recent business trip to Japan.

In addition to our updated nori, today also marked the market with our new Japanese pickles courtesy of our friends at Bayside Yakiniku Club. These pickles are locally produced and an excellent addition to the way we think about small sides, texture and flavour around our rice balls.

Plenty of new faces and many of our wonderful return customers made an appearance today. Our love for this community in the Byron Bay region runs deep! We want to share a heartfelt thank you to everyone for coming out today.
Korean Street Fusion#
Before the hustle and bustle of the Bangalow Markets started, we took a walk around the local community stalls to say a hello and shoutout some of our friends who made an appearance at the market today.
Our first callout was to today's close neighbour and dear friend Chori and his food stall Korean Street Fusion.

Korean Street Fusion is a food stall based in Lismore and from Monday to Saturday, Chori also runs FOREST, a beloved Lismore-local cafe in the heart of town that also specialises in Korean food.
At the markets, they offer a specialised menu of options with Korean Fried Chicken, Bibimbap, Yangnyeom Tofu, Bulgogi, and Jeyuk Bokkeum on today's menu.
Follow @koreanstreetfusion to keep up to date with their latest markets, or if you are around Lismore and still are craving for some of the best Bibimbap you will find across the country, then swing by their cafe!

Three Hearts Coffee#
Bangalow markets are the largest of the markets we participate in for sheer size and market variety. Amidst the sprawl of the craft markets in the center, 3heartscoffee had a beautiful spot set up which looked like the perfect meeting point for today's market goers.

3 Hearts Coffee operate as a mobile cafe around Northern New South Wales and highlight that you can also find them at The Channon Craft Market.
You can find them on Instagram under @3heartscoffee or on their 3 Hearts Coffee Facebook page.
Julian Jett Photography and Jett Apparel#
One of the stalls that caught our eye on our walk through was Julian Jett Photography and Jett Apparel.

Julian is a Northern Rivers based photographer and screen printer and his work is printed on a variety of mediums.
The photography on display capture the natural beauty of the Byron Bay and Northern Rivers regions (it also highlighted the glaring gap in skills with our own photography!).
Outside of the markets, his photography is on display at Lennox Art Collective and his prints and shirts are also available for purchase on his Julian Jett Photograph website.

Authentic South Indian Cuisine#
If there was an award for the food truck that brought the most colour to the dreary Bangalow morning, we couldn't go past Authentic South Indian Cuisine.

Authentic South Indian Food has been servicing the local markets for the past 15 years (wow!). Their menu today consisted of everyone's favourite Indian curries such as Kerala Goat curry, Butter Chicken and Sambar and offered other goodies such as samosas and masala chai and mango lassi for drinks.
I didn't manage to collect any social media information for them, but for more information see the links found on the Byron Markets page and the page from The Channon Market.
Byron Gourmet Sausage Co and Snowman Shaved Ice#
Byron Gourmet Sausage Co were there selling Brat Haus favourites. So too were our friends from Snowman Shaved Ice, although sadly we couldn't find any links for them!

Matcha Byron#
Our boys Ayumu and Soutaro were also there from Matcha Byron.

We've highlighted Matcha Byron before in our guides to Mullum Farmers Market, Byron Farmers Market and the Byron Community Market guides and for good reason: we love their matcha!

Naughty But Nice Natural Ice Cream, Fresh Churros, Real Smoothies#
The Naughty But Nice food truck gave us a real homely vibe! We had to include it as a highlight.

They were there selling churros and smoothies in addition to their ice cream.
Made with Nimbin Valley Dairy, their ice cream is also available for purchase at a number of additional outlets:
You can also find them on Facebook.
Sunflour Canelé#
Sunflour was back! We've also highlighted Dan and his canele story before in our Byron Community Market guide.

They are regulars at the Bangalow markets, but you can find them at most northern rivers markets. It's best to check their socials to keep up to date with their crazy schedule!
Pottery, Hot Sauce and Handmade Market Finds#
On the way back to our stall, we also came across two beautifully set up stalls that we took snaps of.

The first was this beautiful collection of pieces that looked fantastic.

The other was the stall directly beside it showcasing off some delicious looking hot sauce.
Neither stall had their owners around as we walked by, so we didn't have a chance to stop by for a chat nor could I catch the stall names and socials but both honestly looked fantastic! Keep an eye out for them if you are heading by the market.
Walking Through the Bangalow Markets#
Here are a collection of views from the different market alleyways that we walked down this morning on this rainy day that were worth sharing!

We managed to catch our friend Keita from Fumoto on the walk as well. We wrote in detail about his stall in our Mullum market guide!
Our Market Neighbours#
Here are some snaps from the food court we took near today's market.

There were plenty of great stalls about in the food court, so we will link out to our other friends as well! Keep an eye out for all of them at the next markets.

A Sunday Morning in Bangalow#
The Bangalow Markets are always a good time and bring together arts, crafts, clothing, coffee, good food and an even better community vibe.
They stand out as the largest markets that we partake in along the Northern Rivers.
We were absolutely stoked to be back and look forward to next month's edition of the Bangalow markets!
