Founded in 1879 in Terai Village, Ishikawa—birthplace of Kutani ware master Shoza Kutani—Kamide Choemon Kiln began by distributing Kutani ceramics across Japan through medicine traders. The second generation established it as a dedicated wholesaler, and in 1941 the third generation built its own kiln, evolving into the maker it is today. Rooted in the history of Japanese porcelain yet not bound by tradition, the kiln creates refined tableware with a flexible, modern approach. Each piece is handcrafted, aiming to preserve the fresh beauty of Kutani ware across generations.
